Default There sat a '71 GTX. Lord help me!!

Here is Knoxville you will be surprised what will turn up. A small 'speciality car' car lot in north Knoxville has several notable cars. It is mostly Ford/Chevy stuff, but when I am in that part of town I make a detour just to drive by and see what is sitting out there. Well well, a brown '71 GTX is parked amoung the tired Fords and Chevys.
I didn't bother stopping to ask a price, or even to look too close. I don't have the money, I am planning on getting married soon, I already have a hot MoPar. Yet still, reason is out the window. It is a 1 9 7 1 G T X! My favorite MOPAR. My Dream car was a '71 GTX in SUBLIME GREEN with a Air Grabber and 4 spd with a Dana 60.

Some lucky MoPar guy will get it, but not me.
Maybe someday!

Default Had a Plum Crazy '70 GTX

Had one in about '86. Bought it for $600. It had an ugly orange paint job at the time. You could believe my surprise when we popped the hood and the engine compartment was purple!
Checking the build plated reveiled it as a plum crazy '70 GTX.

I was just thinking. I would be better with a '71 Satellite or RR rather than a '71 GTX. I like to tinker too much and molesting a rare one hurts it's value too much.
My next big project will be a twin turbo 400!
