I put a new set of T-bars in my Charger in Sept of 98. The reason I changed them is cause they were clunking. Now I am having the same problem with the new ones. They seem to clunk at the rear frame, right under the seats. The boots are dry and on, and the car sits fine. They clunk when I hit the brakes or put the car in motion. Any idea"s? Thanks.

Check the strut rod bushings. The strut rods limit the fore and aft movement of the front suspesion when accelerating and braking. If the bushings are bad,use the Mopar Performance bushings in the catalog.

I would use the Mopar Performance bushings. They are of a higher durometer rubber, similar to urethane. They are easy to put in,just use alot of WD-40!!!The B-body bushings are easy to install, the A-body bushings will make you swear every word imaginable.

The clunking may have nothing to do with your torsion bars. You may have a bad trans mount or U-joint.

No its not those, I changed them awhile ago. Its definetly the T bar as you can hear it clunk right under your feet. The U-jounts would clunk when you put the car in gear, Im not getting that. Im getting a clunk when the suspension has to work.
