Default headers

Headers are worth all the hassles.My friends 73 340 4spd went much faster after headers and 2.5 in exhaust,about a 1/2 sec in the 1/4 mile.

No doubt about it. The'll work well. The old rule of thumb was 15% more HP. It could turn a 275 HP engine to a 315 HP engine.
Run with 2 1/2 inch pipes with a "X" pipe connecting both sides. Use a high flowing, good quality muffler. EX;

Hooker's
Dyno max
Edelbrock
More flow the better.

Run the pipes to the bumper.

No wheres that page on a muffler shotout someone posted?
Good info there.

I used Hooker Super comp's. Not the small tube comp's! Theres a diff!!! They should swing right in.
Any "A" body owners running the?
TTI is another header I feel good about recomending.
But they do coast a bit of $$$$$

Default Headers?

Well, all I can say is that I agree with everything you read here. The one thing I will add is that the physicic side of headers is just as powerfull. Not sure of the spelling but you can catch what I am trying to say!!!!!!!!!
