Question offset rearend

I have heard that on dirt that putting a wheel with more offset on the right rear helps with cornering, but what I am curious to find out is if anybody has tried moving the whole diff over? I just finished putting in the rear springs from last years write-off, which were quite good for spring rate (don't remember the #'s offhand), as well as lowering the gears from 4.11 to 3.55 in aticipation of the new mule having the torque to pull the car instead of gearing the snot out of it. But i digress, anyway I tried this diff last year but didn't notice a difference when I took it out and put a "stock" rearend in. It is offset 1/2 inch to the right in theory helping it corner better. Has anyone tried this with any success, or should i just cut off the saddles and put new ones on in the stock location. We run 1/2 mile high banking on asphalt. Anything i can do to get the car to corner a little better would be a bonus. The lone dodge boy wants to go chevy hunting next wekend, in a BIG way.

thanks all

I'd rather push my mopar than own a chevy
