Intake
Would the intake off a '70 383 2bbl fit a '77 440 that has a 4 bbl on it now?

NO. I forget which ones wider. So my question to the general public in order to help DITCHPICKLE is;
Can he use the spacers like needed for the B intake on stage VI alum. heads to fix his problem?

The 383/400 intake manifold is narrower than the 413/426/440 manifold. I don't know if the adapter will work...sorry.
