Your 340 combos

Can anybody share their 340 engine combinations? Cam, heads, intake etc. what kind of car is it in and any 1/4 times, things you would do differently? Thanks

Post 340 Combos

We have 2 combos. One is a 72 340 block,steel crank stroked to 3.42 stroke,stock 340 rods(shotpeened & polished),Venolia 11 to 1 pistons,340 X heads(Max ported & polished)2.08 int. 1.60 exh. valves,Holley Strip Dominator,1050 Dominator,Cam Motion roller camshaft and Crane 1.5 roller rockers. 1/8 mi 7.12 et NOS 6.64 et. This is a NOS motor.

Combo 2:R1 race block,MP 3.79 stroke crank,Eagle rods,Ross 13 to 1 pistons,2.08 int 1.65 exh valves,Edelbrock Victor W2 intake,1050 Dominator,Cam Motion roller and Harland Sharp rockers 1.6 int 1.5 exh. 1/8 mi 6.59 et 1/4 mi 10.49 et. Still tuning this one. There's more!! 3100 lb car. Wedgehead

mines at http://tmezz.mezzweb.com:81 its pretty fast, not as fast as wedgeheads but it is quick. i don't have any timeslips but i need to do sumthin about my seat, its about to come up out of the floor...(swapped from split bench to buckets out of an old scout...)

my brother might be having problems w/the server because COX communcations blocked port 80 (which is where the server was working out of) so now he is using 81 (which is why :81 is in there) if its not working, i'll ask him and maybe he can fix it...

I believe the block is a '72 340. I bought the (68 -71) rebuild kit from P.A.W. However I made several upgrades and changes.
The block is .30 over with a set of Keith Black pistons, chrome moly rings, Edelbrock Performer RPM camshaft and lifters, chrome moly pushrods, Adjustable rocker arms, double-roller timing chain.
I plan on soon to put an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, with a Holley 750. Thats all I can think of right now.
