I'd stick with OEM.

I've found that aftermarket stuff has gone down the toilet in recent years.

Thumbs down

I think OEM would do fine for you but, I don't agree with Dave about the after market stuff. I think that MSD is producing some quality parts.

I was refering more to the quality of so called "oem replacement " parts, sold over the counter at parts stores.

Blue streak/standard ignition, has given me nothing but grief at the shop. Especially with switches and sensors. Had a Neutral safety switch go out of a Dodge truck here last year(It came in as a no start) Installed 3 blue streaks, and it still wouldn't start. As it happened the local dealership sales rep had stopped in, and drove back to get me a chrysler one. Started first turn with it in, and has never been back since.

I have similiar stories for echlin, or wells, Partsmaster, ect. Maybe It's just a phase I'm going through, but I'm selling a lot more oem ignition parts than I used to, especially on service applications.

I would try to find a cap & rotor with brass contacts.
