Slant Six Driver?

Hey guys, just wondering if you cvould give me a hand w/ this, so here goes.
I'm looking for a Daily driver at the present moment, wanting to get rid of my Lincoln. I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any car in decent shape, with a slant six, pref. 225, pref. Manual, For around $1200? I Am having a hard time finding one where I live, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Oh! One More thing too:

The Shifter in my Dart Is Sloppy. Really Sloppy. I was wondering, what the best choice, performance and comfort wise would be. I wanna be able to jerk those gears HARD and I don't want a crappy shifter Stopping me, But I also want something That I'm not going to have to lean over like a riceboy to get to. (Pics of aftermarket 4-speed shifter apps are Greatly Needed.)
