Default Where to place jack

This may not be the place to ask this question [I'm new to board], but I asked on the Neon board and had no replies. Where are the places that I can put my floor jack on a 2002 Neon and then put jack stands under her so I can have the car off the ground to remove all 4 wheels? If anyone has pictures it would also help. I will appreciate any advice.

Not ever seeing the under of a Neon, look in the owners manual for a clue.

On my 1997 Neon I placed the jack under the front tranny mount right in the middle of the front end. On the back I used a block of wood and jacked in the middle of the rear sub frame (where all the lower suspension parts bolt onto the rear sub frame).

Thanks for the replies. Most of the cars today don't have real obivous places to jack the car up without causeing any damage. I'm still driving my 1981 Cordoba with the cabreliot option, which I bought new, and there a lots of places to jack it up.

look on the jack itself. There is probably a picture where you put the jack under the car. It is usually a pinch weld/seam inboard of the wheel wells. If no obvious places, you can usually find a flat spot on a lower control arm (both front and rear).

Default "Stick the jack...

There was a guy who got pissed off at everything . One day he gets a flat outside of town and has to walk back to get a jack at the filling station. The whole way there he's thinking about the rough time the attendant will give him over the deposit and when the attendent askes what he can do for him, he just yells at him,"Stick the jack up your ass!
