Default Electric Fan & Older Alternator

I run a Flexlite Black Magic 150 in my 1964 Polara. I had to install it in front of the radiator, wire the motor to run backwards, turn the fan around on the shaft, cut the fan blades down sightly and modify the grille support in order to make it fit.

The current draw is such that I had to upgrade to a dual field alternator and the electronic voltage regulator. I followed the schematic as drawn by Rick Ehrenberg in one of his articles in Mopar Action. I recommend you do the same.

I got mine off a escort. It went right on the inside no muss or fuss, works great Has its own shroud and I ejected the factory fan.

Yup it'll take it..... I'm running a 92 nisan sentra fan on my truck. Its a dual fan with shroud and everyhting.... just a run a small peice of angle across the rad with some holes drilled for the fan and its done. Just make sure to put some soft small rubber mounts on the bottom corners so it doesn't rub a hole in the rad.
When you wire it make sure you use a re-lay. run the fan off the battery and a switch/ign source. It works great
