Question

Were the bolt patterns standardized on late 50's/60's Plymouths? My '57 Savoy originally came with 7.50x14 tires. I see that a lot of later MoPars came with 8.00x14 and larger tires. I want the widest tires I can comfortably fit on the car while keeping the original wheel covers. Will later MoPar wheels bolt right on? Does anyone know where there is a good conversion table for going between the old tire size convention (i.e 7.50x14) and the new method (i.e 215/75R14?). I used to use a table at the Coker Tire webpage, but I just discovered that there are several conflicting tables floating around and I wasn't sure which was correct. Maybe I'm missing something.
Thanks!!

P.S. I originally posted a similar note in the Tires/Wheels forum, but that was pretty dead, so I though I'd try here..Justin

Since I currently have 15x7 rims off an 87 Diplomat bolted to my 38 Plymouth I'd venture to say you're covered here.

I think the 38 Plymouth and the 87 Diplomat should interchange, and the minivan and the 65 Cuda, but I don't think the small pattern of the Cuda/minivan interchanges with the 4.5" on 5 bolt pattern of the 38 Plymouth and the Diplomat.
