Help Honda VTEC into challenger swap?

Hello everyone, I have an odd question? What would the best trannie be for me to use in my newly aquired 1970 dodge challenger. I will be putting in my 570HP VTEC from my Civic because 1: I wrecked the Civic but the ngine is still good. 2: My brother is going to jail for a while and needed to sell his challenger, so I bought it from him. it has a blown up 4** somthing with three carbs. He says the whole engine is gaone, so i figured i could put my turbocharged NOS suckin' VTEC in there for some "shock factor"
My Question is can i use the NON overdrive 4sp that is in it? or should i go with some kind of truck tranniy?
y friend has a welder and a bunch of air tools, im pretty sure we can make the VTEC a rwd.
any suggestions will be very helpfull!
Thanks, kyle

i would weld the engine to the tranny thats in the challenger now. if not, then find a tranny that will fit, that is rwd and do that. this will lighten that piece of shit up a bunch. i would also drop it to about 3 inches off the ground, and find some nice gold-trimmed wheels (low-rider style) and put on it. this'll make that dumb muscle car look better. then find a nice tripple decker wing, and mount it on the trunk lid. get an underbody neon light kit while your at it.

This is SO obviously a troll. Nobody could be such a moron in real life. First of all, no VTEC could sustain 570HP long enough to wreck a Civic, except maybe by blowing it up like a stick of dynamite. Secondly, even if these two yahoos were real ricer boys, they would have to have at least enough brains to know a 70 Challenger with a 426 or 440, even blown up, would be worth way more than their rice rockets ever will be. Think of how much NOS they could buy with the money they would get for it! Third, the 5 cyl. VW "engine" puts out what, 130HP? Both these guys are just stirring the pot (or else they've been sniffing their nitrous).

LMAO...first of all...570HP VTEC...BULLSHIT,it is possible...but i doubt either of you guys know what it takes to make 570HP on a 340,let alone a VTEC...I would REALLY like to know what you did to this "honda" LMAO....stupid people shouldn't breed...

any MORON knows that that means either a 426,or 440,but since there was only apx 500 hemi challys made,we can rule that out...
so now we can "assume" he has a 71-72 chally with a 440 6pac,one of 2700?? ok,and he want to remove the 440/6 that stock will run 13.7@105?? I do not belive he has even SEEN a challenger, let alone OWNS one...

I also belive that dipshit-VTEC and Dumbass-Volks are the same person...first look at their similar IDs,also look at the date the joined, and the way they talk...c'mon the are the same...

I would run a Ferrari rear transmission.
I would weld it to the exhaust tips.
They ARE going be big.... *giggles* oversized exhaust tips, I hope?

Lets see, a 570 HP 2L engine that would have less TORQUE than a stock 318 2-bbl engine. Then it is installed in a 2-Ton car. What gearing do you use for that, 8:1 rear gears?

Now Now guys... He just asked a serious question. Be nice.
Here is what I suggest you do. First off, leave the Challeger sit, don't touch it it's not worth even messing with. TRY to sell it for a couple hundred and save up for something much better like a Geo metro or something. Believe it or not a metro does wonders with 500 horses powering it. Now about the Challenger...I don't usually do this, but I see you are in a tight situation so I will make an exception here. I will give you $200 CASH for it so you can get youself started towards another car. I know I know, the junkyard will only give me $50 for it but I feel generous today. I will even get rid of it right away for you so you don't have to look at that piece.
And remeber...If it don't have a wing
It ain't worth a thing !!Disclaimer: The preceeding was a joke. Under no circumstances should anyone take offense to it. I do not endorse this statement nor justify it's content. Thank You.

Honda Vscrap- dude don't waste your time. The Vtec may be something all hopped up in a gokart but you'll kill it trying to move a car. Same for that VW yerapeein motor. They need too much mechanical viagra ( NO2 and Blowers/ Turbos) to be viable powerplants- even then unless you like paying all sorts of money for yearly rebuilds your better off keeping the engine that can get the job done all day everyday. AND you'd be wrecking a real car not some dime a dozen over hyped foreign barbie car.

that gives me an idea. maybe i should pull the 440 out of my cuda and put it in my civic si daily driver. imagine the look at ricers faces when i pop the hood on my vtec and theres a big ole 440 in there. that would be fun.

So let me see if I understand this right...

You're running 12 lbs. of boost, AND nitrous, and only making 508HP at the flywheel? And you're delusional enough to say that you can beat any American motor? You have been sniffing the nitrous.

There are TONS of normally aspirated small blocks that can make more than 508HP, and let's not even go into big blocks. Put not one, but TWO power-adders on, and try to tell me with a straight face that you could beat them.

Oh, and I'd love to see you add more boost. I like fireworks for the 4th of July! You could blow that POS up real good.

Sorry Volk's it's nice that you are 17 years old and have a Desktop Dyno Program but thats about all ya got! I do like the 4 valve heads nice touch! (ever seen 4-valve Volkswagen heads?)
anyway if anyone was ever stupid enough money into a motor like that (That would run for about 5 seconds and just CRAP the bottomend!) I would have to find and personally shake his hand and then tell him im sorry to break the news to him but he's a Numbnuts moron! Can't Imagine what the Temp that motor hit's being AIR-COOLED!

72Challenger is right! if i put a tunnel ram, bigger carb(s), bigger cam, run methanol, put large-tube headers on, bigger valves in better heads, and up my compression my naturally aspirated 340 smallblock MoPaR engine will make:
779horses @ 9000 rpm
546 'lb torque @ 6000 rpm

top that ricer boy!

Actually, Pink, he's not talking about the air-cooled Bug engine, but the inline 5 (originally appeared in the Audi). It's water cooled & has 4-valve heads. It's also factory rated at under 150 HP, so you're absolutely right about the bottom end. I have no doubt that with 2 power adders you could make one put out 508HP. I just don't believe you could prove it. If you ran it long enough on the dyno to measure it, you'd blow it up.

I'm stupid?? you don't even know me... you don't know what i have on the bottom end either...and it runs very smoothly, i've had it for a couple of years and it hasn't failed me yet.

numbnuts?? have you been fondling with my nuts?? 72Challenger is right again, it is water-cooled.

the one thing 72Challenger seems to be wrong about is how long it runs. i have upgraded the bottom end to studs, and good bearings.

How can you guys let yourselves get sucked in by this liar, who is only trying to disrupt a good board???

As soon as I'm done with this, I'm taking myself out of this thread - not to return.

I'm sure that he can fake timeslips and dyno runs - I can.
