Rice I think I'm going to make the plunge for a Hemi but I need some help.

I think that I am going to go ahead with the idea of buliding a hemi. Can anyone out there tell me where is a good place to buy hemi parts. This is going to be a project where I buy parts as I can afford them. I would go through my local Dodge dealer but they told me that new rear springs could not be ordered for my 70 Barracuda (guess they couldn't find the number for them in the plastic box on the counter). What I am looking for is a place to get good parts as cheep as possible from someone that knows a thing or two about cars.

Can someone give me some prices or estimated prices on these parts?

Hemi block with wedge motor mount ears # P5007669

Hemi heads (iron, aluminum, and CNC aluminum) Would perfer complete assembly.

For the crank and rods I am thinking about going aftermarket any suggestions?

Thanks for your help, maybe one day I'll be driving a Hemi 'Cuda.

Try Jegs, Summit or P.A.W. for the Hemi parts. Talk to cuda66273 on this forum for rods and other stuff.

I sent a copy of this thread to him - he will help a lot.

I would recommend Mancini. I've had good luck with them on parts availability and prices and they know Mopars really well.

ANY Dodge dealer can order new springs for you - they just need to look in the Mopar Performance catalog to get the part number. The XHD leaf springs are what the Hemis came with stock.

I have already got my springs sitting in the basement. I got them through summit. Any body know the price of the block and heads? I want to do a little shopping around so I might be able to save myself a buck, but knowlege is also worth the extra change if I need help.
