Default rockers

1.6 rockers are avilable as adjustable rockers, wich require diferant push rods and mech; or roller lifters. If you get a hold of comp, cams ,I`am sure they would give you the info you seek. Just be sure you know what your asking for before you ask. If you make that swap be carefull of coil bind on the springs. happy trails Dirty Dan

1.6 adjustable rockers can also be used with anti-pump hyd. lifters. actaully, with the anti-pump they are required... Dirty Dan is right, you do have to change push rods to male-female, but thats not a big deal. i think you will like the performance difference between the 1.5 and 1.6, it is tremendous....much more lift and power. just be sure to reset your timing etc to get it running right. your idle will also be a bit more "lopey", and if you have too much lift, you won't have enuff vacuum for power brakes and you'll have to get a vacuum resevoir.

what kind of cam do you have? lift?

i have SSI performance cam with .508 lift on both int. and exh. and 1.6 roller rockers (adjustable). i have a vacuum resevoir for my brakes...i'll get a picture as soon as i can.

good luck!

Hi
Talked to Moparperformance yesterday Iand the tech depart.
I still have problem with my tapping and ticking ( RR72,,,I think you remember!!When I got them on the line I asked for what diff models of 1.6 rockerarms they have in stock for this 383.
They actually have a kit using male-male pushrods!
That what Ive been told by the not so engaged respresentive guy of theres!
The kit nr is P 4529693
Talked to Summit (to get a price!) and they have them in stock!!
Same digits but DCC before.
Price is 445.99$
Im not 100% sure as I wrote ,,the guy sounded a little confused but IT worth a try?
RR72 and others,,still have problem with my noise,,please look at my new Q and give me some advice!?

Best regards Olle B

WOW! $445.95?? i guess in the long run that would be cheaper than getting them seperate. for male-male too! i just edited my post, i had a long-ass post with lots of info, but i thought you already had adjustable rockers...i went to your other post, and saw that you DON'T have adjustable rockers... oof... i'll look through my books, and get my calculator and see if i can't find sumthin cheaper...maybe even roller rockers

i just need to know what kind of heads you have. i looked at that part number in summitracing.com and i can't get any info on it because they are having troubles with sumthin on their online catalog... i am assuming you have stage IV, V, or VI heads from the breif description of the kit...

never mind....whatever is available for a chrysler 383 is either 1.5 rockers, not roller and not aluminum, but are adjustable......-OR- they are over $500 for only the rockers... push rods are about another 60 or so...and they are male-female.... get the ones from summit, much better deal!
