Hello from Italy
some months ago I found a 440 six pack 70 Challenger in very good condition, but without engine, trans and radiator. After restoring the body, putting new engine inside, went to bolt the radiator. Had one from a 70 Challenger 383 with air, and guessed it would fit. Suprise. my six pack has a 22" radiator support, so the 26" radiator from the a/c 383 doesn't fit. Question: didn't all 440 car use the big radiator? There are no modifications to the car. Rear end is 3.23. Can anybody give me some light on this matter? Is anybody reproducing a three core 22" radiator? Thank you Antonello |

Does your vin # indicate the car is actually a 6pack car? 5th character of the vin# should be a "V".
6pack cars should use a radiator with the number 2998956 stamped on top. A 26" radiator. 22" radiators were used with 383 2bbl engines w/o air conditioning I think. Was the car ever wrecked and possibly an incorrect radiator support installed? Good luck. ------------------ '71 Challenger R/T '70 Road Runner 440+6 '70 Super Bee '69 Super Bee '69 Charger '68 Road Runner |
