Correct carbs for Sonoramic/long ram?
I just got ahold of a long-ram intake setup and the intakes each have a carb on them; the two carbs are different unfortunately which leaves me to wonder what carb was factory equipment on the long-ram engines? I'm assuming there should be a casting number on the carb, does anybody know the correct part number or otherwise how to identify the correct carbs. I don't really need numbers-matching but at least would like to find out what carbs will bolt on and work...

The carb part numbers for the long rams differed over the years just like the single four did.
Carter AFB part numbers are stamped on the left front baseplate (when looking at the carb primary side). |

Goose - if you find the numbers, email me, 'cause I've got a bunch of old AFBs and I'd be happy to help, if I can.
If you don't still have my address, it's ThunderboltRanch@msn.com |
