Laugh My "War Wagon" is capable of wins! :)

It's pretty bad when even my "War Wagon" beats something on the street!
I've got a whole bunch of Ricers on my kill list, alot of 4 banger Rangers and S10s, some Tempos and the like and dropping from running mid 19s down to 18.29 @ 76 mph, I'm able to beat more!

Not bad for 5200lbs (423lbs of fuel) and a truck that's over 491,000 kms!

Celebration Burnout!

Here I am, with track permission, after hours getting this celebratory burnout on video for breaking into the 18s that day (I think it was 18.82 or so).
28 consecutive passes got me from 19.06 to 18.29 (14 runs in less than 3 hours on two days).

Here's the video to the above pic : http://www.85merk.com/movies/War_Wag..._Burnout_s.mpg

Here's an 18.49 run with a small burnout cuz I'm happy : http://www.85merk.com/movies/War_Wag...-burnout_s.mpg

Yep, it's sparta! Well officially it was renamed to "St.Thomas Dragway"
I'm there all the time too, but not with the truck.
The truck saw track time only 4-5 times last year.
Once in Milan (first time ever), twice at Grand Bend Motorplex at the Mopar Weekend and the Windsor Weekend in september, and three times in sparta.
The last two times were the last two test & tune days of the year in October (20th I believe).

St.Thomas Dragway might not be as big and roomy and nice as Grand Bend Motorplex but I prefer ST by a long shot.
The atmoshere is much better, the staff members are kind and courteous, especially the track manager who's a grear guy.
Their loud speaker system is clear and 90% of the time understandable and they don't call out classes by different names, like Grand Bend does.
I'm never sure what class I'm in over there (@ GB), they treat you like a-holes, everything's confusing, it's a PITA to be there so I only go on very special occasions.

Anyway, back to your reply, ya, that's sparta

Thumbs up

Had a good weekend, truck's replacement 318 is running well.
Been up & down our 401 highway quite a bit and she's holding 60-65 mph fine.
Been up as high as 86 mph "showing off"

I gave a GTP a run for it's money too (yeah, read that again)

He was loaded with passengers, and it took him 38 mph before he slowly passed me at WOT (you could hear the SC working and his exhaust hissing).
I was just going into 2nd at 4000 rpm when he started his "passing", that was funny.
I should have kept on it, just to embarrass him more like I did that 5-spd '90 Cavalier at 55+ mph (he went into 4th and started to inch away)
