Default 73 Fury III disks brakes on my 67 newport

Well i found a 73 fury III 4-door with disk front brakes and i was wondering if they would fit on my 67 newport? I have heard of usingthose for b and e bodies but i am unsure of the swap on my newport. Has anyone done a write-up on this, and if this is possible, how hard is it and is it worth it?
Thanks in advance
Paul

Thumbs up Good idea!!

Best thing I ever did for the Fury! It takes a lot of the stress out of driving when you can count on being able to stop quickly and in a straight line. Plus, not as much maintanence. You won't regret it.

The '73 set up will work, take the spindles and the ball joints for sure and decide if the rest of the stuff is good enough to reuse or go buy it new. Take the prop. valve/metering valve or use the Wilwood. The hubby did it for me, and its hard work but doable for the mechanically inclined. Someone on the C-body site has a web page with his upgrade but I don't have the link, sorry .

So swapping the brakes from a 73 fury to my newport should also work? Or does that only work from fury to fury like in your case?
Is a 73 fury III considered a c-body or another? I have never seen a write up on using c-body brakes only a and e bodies.
Any more help would be great
Thanks

From what I recall, C-body to C-body is what's important and a '73 Fury is a C-body. I don't think there's a difference between Chrysler to Plymouth, but maybe you can double check (measure?). Any Mopar article on swapping in disc brakes will work, its all the same stuff.

I forgot to say, take the dust shield as well. I hope this helps.

Eberg's article in the tech archives at www.moparaction.com is the best disc brake swap article around. It covers (briefly) the C body swap.
