Question value for daytona or shelby ?

Im new to this forum so I hope this question fits in this group. I am going to a auction this week and noticed a 86 dodge shelby and a 89 dodge daytona are up for auction. Depending on their shape I was thinking of either getting either one and rebuilding them or parting them out.
My question is: if either appears to run and not have massive body damage, is their a market for eiother of these cars? What would be the rough price range I would want to offer for either car?

If its the worst case scenario, and either looks like they wont run and/or has major body damage. What is the likely price range i should offer for them to part them out?

If they do look as if they need to be parted out. Is there anything in particular of value on either of these cars that I should look for before I bid on them?

thanks for any info,
jim

What do you consider cheap though. These cars are going to know doubt have problems because they are at an auction because they were abandoned. I was thinking a couple hundred dollars or less for the entire car along as its not mangled is about as high as i go unless its something special, like you said, a turbo. One is a dodge shelby from 86. But Im not sure how common that is or what shape it is in yet.

thanks for any info

I was offered a chance to buy a 89 daytona with t-tops and turbo that runs. I dont know anything more about it. I was told i could buy it for 500$. Should I look into a little closer? I was thinking about buying it to part out.

If it were me I would purchase it to part out after I stripped off the parts I needed or I would keep it as another daily driver. What color is it?
