1968-74 all models. This is an aftermarket cable with the correct ends and same length as original. The casing is black and appearance is very close to original. This is an alternative to the new Chrysler cable whose casing is grey. Does not fit cars equipped with cruise control and does not include the grommet NG488 aftermarket $ 29.95 ea - OR - 1968-74 all models. This cable includes the firewall grommet and the casing is grey in color. Does not fit cars equipped with cruise control. FD92360 New Chrysler $29.95 ea |

Those are on Ebay all the time new. they always state they are black too, not grey. I know because I was looking for a '65 cable with screw ons at both ends, ended up going to a yard and pulling one. A little bit of Gojo on the outside and graphite on the inside and it looked like new, 3 bucks...

Only problem with year one or paddock and a few others is it means it comes outta the states. The last cable on e-bay some a$$ cranked the priced up to 60 bucks U.S which is close to $90 for me. I can't justify that on a cable! The FD92360 is that a part number through Dodge? The partsmen I have has a phobia of useing the mirco fiche -sp-

Have you tried PartSource (in Canada and owned by Canadian Tire)? I got a speedo cable from them for my 77 Doba.

I got the one for my 69 Barracuda, and one for my wifes 71 Duster, both at Advance Auto Parts.
Way too easy. |

Ever want to take a gun and put a partsmen out of his misery? Turns out the guy was looking up "throttle cables" Once I got him in the right direction and mentioned that one for a dart would be the same suddenly he sees it in the book. Find out tomorrow if they can actully get it

wonder if that guy ever learned to listen and read at the same time .....maybe he was lookin for a picture...
hope you can get it, kinda sucks not to have a speedometer...course, most of the time in town i look at my tach to see how fast i'm going. i know that: Code:
Gear rpm mph 1st 2,000 20-25 2nd 2,000 30 3rd (D) 2,000 40 3rd (D) 3,000 50-55 3rd (D) 3,500 65 3rd (D) 4,000 70-75 note: these are approximate numbers and i have 4.10's in the rearend...my speedometer has been off for many years so i can't really back these numbers up, but thats what i've figured out from following others... everyone always goes 5mph over the limit on the highway, and nobody speeds in town (too many bicycle cops hiding behind cars and mailboxes) have fun! |
