American Racing is the brand, what model are you looking at? You dont need anything special with 300-400 horsepower.

I like the American Racing Torque Thrust D rims. They have that Cragar SS look, but with the smokey grey spokes rather than the chrome that pits in under a week!

I like weld draglites on Dustersand Darts. The T-thrust II's in 17" look cool on a-bodies also. Please dont run crager ss, keystone classics, or slot mags, their are so many nice wheels on the market, no reason.

in 71 i believe they were still 4" (small pattern), If you have an 8-1/4 it is probably 4.5" Measure to make sure.

If it's for handling, the Toyo Proxis are the best available in a D.O.T. tire.

Thumbs up 6 packman

Hi there 6 pak, are you using 15 inch wheels and if you are what kinda backspacing are you using and with what tire front and rear. I am looking at draglite xp,s but having a heck of a time deciding backspacing for my 73 barracuda. I was thinking 15 by 8 or 9 on the rear and maybe 15 by 7 on the front, thanks your reply would be hugely appreciated, tim

Yeah, Crager SS's look gay unless they are 10's or deeper, and those Keystones, C'mon! Only on a Cougar, and that is only because the car is uglier than the rims! I like the D's but the new 'Stangs are wearing them out. Arent they stock on the new GT's? Dragstars are cool, satin Centerlines are mandatory on a big bad black B-Body. Rallye's are understated but respected, especially the 15X10's, it is a cool steel rim.
