Hey i have no problems with my engine and i said that i had heard you could pull the thermo never said i did. My motor is a fully built slant six with hp near 250 i just rebuilt it last month and it runs fine my other aspen /6 overheats and i replaced the water pump and radiator and i get hot on hot days but not my built motor. I have found the bigger cheby radiator is a good swap and is easier to replace and cools much better being a true 4 core
