Help License Plate Suggestions

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll post photos of me picking up my new Viper from Bill Pemberton in another posting soon, but I'm trying to get opinions on which license plate to get.

204 MPH - top speed at 6000 RPM with the Sean Roe supercharger, but the State of Ohio REJECTED that plate as being inappropriate & variations (MPH 204) also rejected.

VIPER, VIPRGTS, and other obvious ones already taken.

My 18 year old daughter's initials are E.A.K. The power of the Viper scares me (EEK!). I'm calling it the EAKMOBILE for now.

EAKVPR or EAKVIPR

EEKVPR or EEKVIPR

She says if I get a plate with EAK on it instead of EEK, then the Viper is her car...

My choice for right now is GTSVIPR

I do some teaching at the local high school. The mascot is an elk, and the school colors are yellow and black (yellow paint, black tires & interior).

ELKITUP (Elk it up)

My daughter's favorite is

LVIPERO, sorta Spanish for El Viper (El Vipero)

Of course, if I sell my '78 Chevy Caprice Classic I can use the plates off of it

EAK 5

Appreciate any/all you suggestions.

I still want 204 MPH - I don't know why it's "inappropriate" - I'm NOT going to go that fast...even if I could...even when I can...

My 18 year old daughter (who was out with a friend tonight learning how to drive a manual transmission so she can drive my Viper) says I MUST get this plate:

Kenny:

I've always liked my friend's plate that says HALASP. My brother has GTS CPE (and is still waiting to buy his Viper one day). Of course I am partia to VIPER 10, which I have had since 1989 when I saw the first Viper RT/10 prtotype at the LA Auto Show.

If you like I can try and dig up all of the VCA vanity plates that were taken at VOI one year. Let me know and I will do some digging.

Thumbs up Brad -

I appreciate all the help I can get!

My daughter is chasing me around the house saying
"Get L Vipero!"

I finally figured out how to do the 1-2 shift without laying rubber - ease the Viper about one car length in 1st and then shift to 2nd and if you go 2 car lengths in 1st, the torque will overpower a light throttle and you know how much rear tires cost on a Viper...

Default Made My Choice!

I changed my Nebraska Title today to an Ohio Title.

I also ordered the Sean Roe Supercharger and VEC1 yesterday.

I decided to get on my license plate

650 HP

After the Supercharger is installed this Fall, the only performance improvement that my Viper will ever need will be improving the driver. I plan on going to Viper Days at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in the Spring to get professional instruction. Even after the professional instruction and some track time, this driver will error on the side of caution when driving his Viper, and continue to get professional instruction on driving it.

well it's about 7,000 times better than el vipero.. that's just campy spanglish.. i would've suggested something to the effect of "asp" even though i don't like vanity plates. i'm more a sleeper person than in-the-face

Maxwedge - "U sure that 650hp is going to be enough SunRa?"

SUN RA KAT - It will be MORE than enough AND it will be the LAST physical mod to my Viper. All future mods will be to the driver so that the driver can drive that amount of power safely. Snake pedal excursions towards the floor by the driver have reached the 2/3 level and 3/4 level once, but only with the wheels pointed straight ahead and on a clean 4 lane divided highway in no traffic. Professional instruction for the driver at Viper Days next Spring at Mid Ohio Sports Car Race Course will preceed BEFORE driver lowers the snake pedal any further towards the floor. Especially when the Supercharger is installed and a self imposed limit of 1/3 to 1/2 snake pedal is the rule. The driver feels 650 horsepower can be achieved in stages as the driver's skill improves and the lowering of the snake pedal towards the floor is safely allowable by the driver. Driver prefers to error on the side of caution in this matter.

m4s - "well it's about 7,000 times better than el vipero.."

SUN RA KAT - I totally agree. What I really wanted was
204 MPH
but that plate is not allowed for passenger cars by Ohio. It's for motorcycles! (3 numbers & 3 letters)

204 MPH would be my top speed if I wanted to take my Viper to the 6,000 RPM red limit in 5th gear. (No, I don't want to! But if I did, I could.)

I just sold my '78 Chevy Caprice Classic and the person who bought it will be restoring it to its full former glory. I could have put the plates that came off of it
EAK 5
(EAK is my daughter's initials)

So, I chose the one I did. The State of Ohio still has to approve the plate. I hope they do not reject it.

Default ewatts2003 -

I'm coming to GOT it July 16,2002. Sorry I missed you. I drove it around a little over 230 miles on the 16th - drove up to South Dakota and back to Woodhouse. Got my 1st oil chnge the next morning and my seats adjusted to give me more legroom and drove back to Dayton, Ohio (Centerville, actually) in one long 760+ mile trip. I followed to break in proceedure to the letter on the way back.

Default Brad -

I am very nearsighted, so I just take off my glasses and put my eye close to the computer screen & there they are! Big & easy to read! Thanks.
