Back Fire right side when car is in gear!
When I start the car no problems and when it's in park there are no back fires. But when I put the car in reverse or drive it back fires out the right side. What should I be looking for to solve this problem. Thank you all for taking the time to look at this.

Start with checking the ignition system. particularly cap rotor and wires.
You may have a carbon track in the cap, that only arcs when under load. Similarly, an igniton lead may only arc under load. At my shop we use a product called HI VOLT. It makes the ignition leaks visable when you spray it on the wires, and has a dramatically negative affect on engine running if thier is a wire problem. Unfortunately there are many things that could cause this problem. This is probably a good place to start. |

What Dave said. Also, If you open the hood when it's very dark out (or in your well ventilated garage with the lighs out), you can very often clearly see the spark going astray.
