Default speedo gear replacement

is there a company out there that makes speedo gear for 64 and up A-bodies. My friend has a 64 valiant with 3.23 gears his speedo is off and needs a new speedo gear.Help he's leaving for Cal. on friday..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think the gear changed when they went from the cable to the selector, just the way it goes into the tailshaft. Try Year One, or a dealership. Itll go by color so have your tire size ready for the decoder sheet. Itll have roughly 32 teeth according to a rule of thumb.

'62-'65 use a speedo pinion that is completely different than the '66 and later. The early pinions are hard to find.

yes thats what he has , and yes a pain in the but to get. and no year one only has 67 and up won't work

Whoops, blew that one. I remember looking at mine a few years ago and put 2 and 2 together. Of course now I remember that I changed my trans 10 years ago to a 68, so the pinion looks like the run of the mill pinion. I'm slipping !
