rolleyes2 Info On Heads And Help On Trans

HI EVERYONE,

I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS. HAS ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH OR HEARD ABOUT AERO HEADS? I SAW THEM IN AN ADVERTISEMENT IN A MOPAR MAGAZINE AND NOTICE THE PRICE WAS HALF THAT OF EDELBROCK'S 2.02/1.6 HEADS FOR SMALL BLOCK MOPAR. THEY ARE LISTED AS BEING $499 BASE PRICE (YOU CAN ADD GOODIES LIKE 11/32 STEMS ON THE VALVES, TITANIUM RETAINERS, OR EVEN GET J CASTINGS, ETC. OF COURSE UPPING THE PRICE A BIT MORE).

SECONDLY, I HAVE A '73 DUSTER 360 WITH A 904 TRANNY. I PULLED THE MOTOR AND TRANNY OUT OF A '72 AND DROPPED IT DIRECTLY INTO A '73 (HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO GO THROUGH EITHER, BUT PLAN TO IN THE NEAR FUTURE). AFTER THE CAR IS WARMED UP (LETTING IT SIT AND RUN FOR DIFFERENT INTERVALS OF TIME), I FIRST START TO DRIVE IT DOWN THE ROAD, IT SEEMS TO 'SLIP' BACK INTO NUETRAL AS IF IT IS KICKING ITSELF OUT OF GEAR. I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS SO THE RPMS REV HIGH AND IT PROCEEDS TO GO BACK INTO GEAR. IT ONLY DOES THIS AFTER I WARM IT UP AND BEGIN TO DRIVE. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT I'M MISSING?

First, it's considered poor form to type in ALL CAPS, it's interpreted as shouting.
Slippage in the trans after it's warmed is usually caused by fluid leakage at the clutches, either the sealing rings or the rubber seals have deteriorated. Once the fluid warms up and thins out, the seals can't hold pressure.

aerohead is the same as INDY. if you look at the addresses for both companies they are the same. i had a pair of 906 heads done by them. it was 499. i took them to my engine builder adn had him look at the work. he said it was an "ok" deal for the work. but the valve job wasn't that great and the guides weren't that good. i never used the heads. i sold them. and got a pair of indy sr's

Sorry about the form John. Honestly, I didn't pay much attention to it when I was typing seeing as I wasn't shouting at anyone and had nothing to shout about. No offense to anyone and thanks for the advice.........
