Nose rings, spring clamps and other amazing things
I'm involved in at least 4 discussions right now where the question has been asked "What is a Spring clamp"
So here's a couple of quick sketches to get the idea |

Now here's one on the theory behind all this..
Oh the nose rings....I know nothing about them except that it would probably make your eyes water when they drive in the nail... |

If you look at the last pic, you will see how the forward portion of the springs will allow the axle to twist. When you use the clamps on the two longest springs, they cannot seperate. If they cannot seperate, they will not allow the axle to twist as much. If the axle can't twist, you don't get wind up and you relieve alot (if not all) of the wheel hop.
