8 3/4 posi recomendations
OK, I need to replace the posi unit in my Duster. I called the guys at Mancini, they say the Auburn pro series is real tough. The guys at Moser say the Eaton is the best. Anybody running either of these. Car is a 74 Duster, mid 12 sec street/strip car, HELL NO it doesn't get pampered, so I need something strong. After a long debate and many conversations I have ruled out a spool. I am not concerned about drivability but rather the effect of all the added stress on the rear and components. I am leaning towards having Mancini set up a whole new center section with the Auburn, new gears and a billt yoke and retaining caps. So what posi unit is best? Any suggestions?

A Auburn in my rearend
I'm running the Auburn unit with 3.55 gears. I don't race the car but I have alot of fun on the street. I have about 3,000 miles on it and no problems. One note if you choose the Auburn unit. Use GM limited slip additive to avoid chatter. I used some stuff from NAPA and it made awful sounds. Aburn gear recommends GM or Ford additive with 80-90W oil, so I chose GM and it works great.
