I bought another car today, a numbers matching '68 Road Runner. Now I have three sitting around in different stages of completion. I bought this one because I need a daily driver/project and It was so close to home and I didn't want it to get away.
Is there a cure for this sickness, short of death that is? ------------------ '73 Dodge Charger '71 Challenger R/T '70 Road Runner 440+6 '70 Super Bee '69 Super Bee '69 Charger '68 Road Runner |

I believe there is a cure. Just drive down to 321 Cherokee Road in Alex City, Alabama, and leave the keys to all those classic Mopars on the door step. Then turn around and walk away. It's for the best, really.

JR, I'll admit to having a sickness but not to being crazy. But thanks for the offer.

I understand your obsession. I'm trying to figure out a way to start a rescue operation for abandoned and abused Mopars, if you know of any that need a safe house send them to me!

And if you're ever out this way you can't miss me. I'm across the street from the only grocery store in town. But seriously, this is one crazy world. I bet if you were to put an ad in the local/surrounding area papers that you would take 1950-1975 ( or whatever years you are interested in )dodge, plymouth, chryslers off the owners hands for no charge you'd get a few replies. Heck I think I might try it myself. ------------------ '73 Dodge Charger '71 Challenger R/T '70 Road Runner 440+6 '70 Super Bee '69 Super Bee '69 Charger '68 Road Runner |

I know of a reasonably SURE FIRE cure.
Buy a house with a postage stamp sized yard and a single garage. IT WORKED FOR ME!! ------------------ Tubbed 40 Plymouth Coupe Tubbed 71 Demon 1989 Shelby Lancer 1978 BB ClubCab 1973 Scamper 440 MHome |

No Way! My idea of the perfect house would be a huge garage with a bedroom in the loft and tastefully decorated with my T/A. Then I could tinker on it anytime, day or night, cold or hot, or just sit in it if I wanted to. The imagination wanders.... Oh yeah it would have to be surrounded by acreage where I could put my favorites...Dodge, Plymouth, Chryslers.

You know, If all those REAL muscle cars were Novas, Camaros, and Chevelles, you would probably have 15 blown/useless motors just laying around your yard. The owners manuals to those things should have " Replace engine every 5000 miles or anytime after excessive throttle is applied"
Sorry, I couldn't help but gripe over how crappy they (Shivvys) are. A redneck friend of mine has a Nova that has gone thru five 350s. By the way, I still support my method of curing your addiction. My lone Charger R/T could use another Mopar to share the driveway with |

I understand this is not the chat topic everyone is discussing however it seems this is the only room active at this late hour. I recently purchased a 69 Roadrunner Conv., factory 4speed, air grabber, romote mirrors. ect. I was wanting a production number on this. Perferably something on the web instead of having to purchase a book online and wait a week to find out. I do know there were only 2027 conv. but I was curious as to how many had 4spds and air grabber.

Actually there were 3313 convertable Roadrunners made. The standard engine was the special 335HP 383cid. A Carter AVS-4615S 4bbl was used on that 383. Sorry I don't have any info on the number of 4spds made.
