Help air grabber hood

My friend has a 1970 RR with the air grabber hood and all of a sudden the air grabber won't stay up why?He used to pull it up and it would stay,but now it keeps falling down!!!!!!Anyone who knows why please help!!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Those are controlled by vacuum. Check the entire system for correct routing of the hoses/tubing, if any of the hoses/tubing has cracks the vacuum can bleed down. It is hard to tell by just looking, you will need to test them somehow. It is also possible that the actuator unit itself may have a leaky diaphragm, you should test it also.
