Hey all, quick intro:

My online nic is 'novicius' and I currently own this 1971 Plymouth Barracuda:

She is a complete Frankenstein (hence the incorrect stripe, etc.), but I love her and will never part with her (for the full story, click here and get your tissues ready).

(Long intake of breath...)

Ok, so here's my question: she's a 440-powered, 727-backed, ex-Slant Six car, but I don't know how much she weighs? I have never taken the time to go have her weighed and I was wondering if anyone had an idea. If I had to guess, I'd say about 3,500 lbs...

Thanks, and I hope to do what I can to contribute to the group!

Thank you, Christopher -- she looks nice in motion, but when you get up close, you can see the gatorskin texture of the paint, cracking paint around the edges, etc. But I'm planning for next fall to have her completely torn down and repained/reassembled.

Thanks for the info, Bruce; I did do some searching around and the only numbers I can find for a: Barracuda/hardtop/440/auto is 3,475 lbs...

Say Nic; an E-body is slightly smaller than a B-body and slighly lighter but with the 440 engine its probably 3500. I believe a 440 is 100 lbs heavier than a 360 approx. bruce
