Default elect fuel & mech. fuel pumps use both?

Just have a question, is it good to use a mech fuel pump with elect. fuel pump.?? i've heard that its good to use elect pump to get the fuel to the mech pump. And also wondered, if your going to run nos, should you run separate elect pump for that too.??... thanks for any replys

i don't know about the mech. pump...but i run an electric pump for my main fuel, an electric pump for my racing fuel for my NOS, and i run an electric pump for my sprayers that spray a water/windsheild wiper fluid mix onto my tires so i can burn out...

Question Two Pumps?

I tried that once years ago and couldn't get it to work right. It kept flooding so I took it back off. I used a low performance AC electric fuel pump and the stock 340 fuel pump. I was going to have to buy a fuel regulator and didn't want to spend the funds. Not sure what you may run into, but don't be suprised if you have to run the regulator.

On a street aplication I like to use both together. As far as NOS it depends on how big the squrt is any thing 150 and down you can use the main fuel supply line with a(T) for the nos fuel supply . That is with the 2 pump setup. anything larger should have its own fule supply. Happy trails

Tar baby if you had run a holley red pump you would not have had such trouble.
