First, please do not type with your 'caps lock' on. It is considered rude and to be shouting.
From what you have described, the problem is in your valve body. Putting it in 'N' would not get you driving, if it were the converter. It sounds like all of your fluid is draining out of the valve body, when parked. The fluid will not go back in and pressurize the valve body, unless you are in gear or in 'N'. Why the fluid is draining out that quick is because of something that was not done right, during the rebuild. A Trans-Go shift kit will fix this issue, as well as giving you better shifts. |

what size motor do you have? if it were me, i'd do as ehostler said and get a shift kit, and maybe a new converter while your at it... Maybe a TCI with a little higher stall.... what gears are you running in the rear? if the gears are too small, i wouldn't wanna use a converter with too high of a stall...
just some things to chew on... |

Is the fluid level correct? Are you checking the fluid level with the engine running in Neutral?
If so, the problem sounds like converter drainback. This is most common after the car sits overnight but could be occuring in a few hours if the converter hub is undersized and allowing a lot of fluid to run between it and the bushing. The converter won't refill with the selector in Park, but will refill with the selector in Neutral. BTW, it's impossible for fluid to "drain out" of the valve body, when the fluid level is correct the valve body is completely immersed in fluid. |

Converter drainback is what I was meaning. I know that the Tras-Go shift kit will not fix the drainback issue, however it will allow the converter to refill in Park.
