Biggrin Finished my new car!

Well, mostly finished, still needs a paint job. But that can wait as I want to race it a little first. Here's a picture

And here's a third. The #11 Cordoba just ahead of me is Daren 44's dad, Wade. He's battling for the championship with the Buick just haead in the photo. They are litterally swapping the points lead weekly! Wade already has 3 wins this season and has yet to finish worse than 5th all season.

One last thing, no picture this time. In attendance this past Saturday at East Carolina Motor Speedway, there were 6 Mopars racing in various classes. Besides Wade and myself in bomber, there was another Cordoba driven by Wade's nephew, Troy, and another Magnum. Troy by the way came in third. Daren 44 raced in Modified Street with his Charger, and another team, have been racing a Duster in Stock Look A Like.

Way to Go!

Nice looking car! Thumbs up to all the Mopar drivers in Carolina. By the way do you run D.O.T. tires or Towel City recaps?

Depends. ECMS we run Towels', but we are going to run Southern National Speedway also, and they require DOT pass. car tires. BTW-Thanks for the compliment.

Whats all that grey stuff on the car. I 80 grit the old paint off and spray the new on, no primer, that is an extra 4 or 5 pounds on the car that you dont need, and the paint will flake off alot more when there is a primer surface under it, bondo is for the chevs too, the time it took to paint the primer you couldve been laying the final product on, unless thats the way the car came, It kind of looks like the test cars that winston cup boys use.
Good luck

We rattle canned it for now in primer just to appease the promoter. We had drug it to practice and he had a fit over it's appearance. The D A will take it all back off before it's sent to Maaco for it's $200 squirt. I don't think it looked that bad, brown metalic goes with blue and rust, right?

Nice detail on the front grill area. You know what they say, Chevy is only skin deep, but MOPAR goes all the way to the driveshaft
