U-joints
I need new u joints for my 340 Duster, parts book lists a smaller and larger joint. Did the 340 cars always come with the larger joints? Thanks

I once had a 72 340 challenger 3speed that was a small joint.

I just got back from the auto parts store a few hours ago. I had the same problem ( which size ). The guy at the parts counter told me to measure between the Yoke 2 1/8 or 2 5/8 for my car, but it's a C body with 440. Still that should give you the size.
Good Luck. Oh yea! I like to change both U-joints, even if one seems ok. This set has been on my car for 9 or 10 years. |

I just pulled a 400 and trans out of a 72 Newport Royal and it had a small yoke. I was hoping for the bigger one but... I guess Chrysler thought the motor was not powerful enough for the big yoke even though it was a 4000 lb. + car.
