rolleyes2 New Motor from ????

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this place.

www.powerpro2000.com

I was thinking of a MOPAR crate but from all the post I have seen I am not sure the quality is any good.
The long block 318, 360 are $1345

Off the top, they only remanufacture engines. They are rebuilding a used core, to stock specs. A crate engine is a definately not stock spec, which is why there is a price difference. The crates have poor quality control.

Just take your existing engine to a good MOPAR machine shop and tell them what you want. They should be able to build you a nice enge for less than a crate.

yeah, what he said.. i would try to rebuild what ya got, know what your getting because you choose it (with the shops help if ya need), stay local so if ya have problems with the motor the shop that does it can help ya,.. this create thing worries me, with all the neg feedback i hear ... good machine shops want you happy , because you live close and hopefuly they want you back for more business and not comming back to bitch at them...or to tell all your car bubbies how much they suck.... (ya hope)

Thanks guys for the replies. I was just trying to find a quick fix for a problem that I have had for about a year and this looked good, you can look at my post entitled “give up” if you really want to see all the details.
I would like to try and re-build it but not sure I would be able too, it would probably end up worse than it is now. I have just moved and the Duster has sat for a while and I have calmed down enough to try and tackle it again so I think I will see if I can find a good Engine rebuilder in the area.
I have looked a bit on line with no luck, they all seen to be the other brands and don’t mention Mopar but I will start calling and see what happens.

Want me to build you one and ship it?

Unfortunatley I don't know anyone in Florida that I could reccommend, but maybe someone else could suggest a good machine shop.

There is a good builder in Richmond Virgina which is alot closer...RAM Racing Engines(Richardson Automotive), he built some 360 Mopar Sprint motors for us a few years ago that were awesome. I would trust him, but that's the closest I can get for you.

I just found his web site
http://www.ramracing.com/aboutRAM.htm

I scanned it over and it appears he has gone the cheap route on his box motors...Chinese Eagle rods, KB pistons, etc. I guess it's all a price point thing.

If you call him ask about building your motor with the good stuff, you'll amazed at how little it costs to go with the best.

Hey Doug,
You gonna make it to the final points race this Sunday and watch us put the big hurt on those two people ahead of us by that one stinkin' point????

They both have average lights in the high 80's...in Canada we averaged .521, last Friday .522 and over the last 3 weeks we've averaged a .520...and NO red bulbs...look out here we come Yakima!

You could also try Dvorak. He is about 2 hours away from you, in Waldo.

Thanks guys for all the info. Looks like a couple of good places.
I plan to start ripping it apart to see if I can see anything obvious and hopefully learn something at the same time, but I am sure it will need a good rebuild by someone that knows what they are doing.
The motor sat for almost 5 years before I got it with everything buttoned up (rocker shafts and such) so I really should have taken it someplace to have it checked before I installed it, but live and learn.
