Question B & M Stall Converter

Has anyone had any experience with the B & M converter, specifically in 318's? I'm going to upgrade, but I don't know what info I need to purchase one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are differtent sized ring gears and number of slines on the converter too, I am running an 82-83 non lockup 727 if that helps, any sort of info will help me out alot.

Default converter

I don`t have the info you are asking for.
but perhaps I can give you something to think about.
If you purchase the convertor you will probable have to
spend more money then you would for a non lock up.
and you would only be able to use it with a lock up trans.
If you were to have the input shaft changed to an older
modle shaft you would be able to run a regular stall.
And you would have a larger selection of transmisions to use it in.
As I said Just something to think about.

Personally, I would stay away from anything by B&M, as I haven';t heard much good about them, when it comes to MOPARs. Give the guys at Dynamic Converters a call. They can set you up with something much better than a B&M.

Ed is right on the B&M stuff. Generic Chevy with Mopar splines. Mass produced catalog stuff.

In order of price and results with good reliability.

JW...excellent work.....moderate price......knows Mopars.

Turbo Action......lots of development work with Mopars from the 60's Ramchargers to the present. More expensive, but Paul Forte and the guys know their stuff. Mid to upper price range.

Dynamic......as Ed said.....nothing better........you get what you need for your application. Frank Lupo and Kevin are pricey, but worth it. Have your information ready when you call. Cam, weight, gear, and intended use.
