Valve Cover Broken Stud
Our son has a 1998 Neon, with a broken stud (bolt) that holds down the valve cover. Of course it is in the back left side. Has anyone ever had the same problem, if so, what is the best way to change it out. Don't know much about these newer cars. Thanks for you advice!

If it hasn't been fixed yet you'll either have to use an "Easy Out" or drill the old stud out, and then drill the hole out re-tap to the next larger size. Those are all metric bolt threads. Not sure of the size you'd need. You don't have to put in a metric stud or bolt - Do any size you want. Just don't make it too big.
