You'll never know for sure until you run it up on a distributor machine with your box hooked to it....
Example: We tested my MP distributor/Orange box right out of the box...it ran to 5500 and dropped 8 degrees OUT of the timing. In the round file and on the phone.....HI-6 box now installed, it ran perfect to 8800, modified and curved the distributor...best $75 I ever spent. |

The 17 on the cam is ½ of the mechanical, which means you will not be able to use much initial advance (not a good thing) It can be a pain but you can find one stamped with a 9 or so to replace your existing one. I don't think that you can buy them new. So you will have to go junk yarding.
Good luck Dennis Jokel |

Ok I have replaced the Cam advance with a #11 with much less mechanical advance! But I still need a MSD timing light to makeit right!
