In order, I would check Summit, Jeg's and P.A.W. After that - eBay. I saved $200 on new Ed. heads on eBay, and about $250. on a Tci trans and converter at Jeg's.
I shop all of them on any purchase over $300 - and if I have time I check 'em all on every purchase. Different outfits have lower prices on specific items, and their deals change all the time. Also, lead times in getting the same part can be wildly different. P.A.W. had the Tci tranny I wanted in stock, but I wasn't in a hurry, so I bought it from Jeg's with a four week lead time for $250 less!! It sucks, but that's free enterprise in action! You pays your money and you takes your choice. |

As your question was about MOPAR performance parts, the 3 best places are Jack's Auto Parts, Koller Dodge, and Olson Dodge.

I have found the best prices on NEW MP parts at "www.earnhardt.com/mymopar". These guys beat Summit and Jegs consistently.

Or call 1-877-MY-MOPAR and ask for Brian Hilerman. He always beats the mail order prices without me even mentioning it!!!! Later, Greg |

Manicott (sp) Chrysler (Michigan) was at the Nats and pushing 30% of on MP parts. Bought a set of head castings for the 30% off and it included shipping.

Why bother with the internet, the pricing structure is 10-20-30% off list or cost plus 10%. Your local dealer will probably compete with the prices advertised in the Mopar magazines and it saves the shipping cost. If there is a Mopar Club in your area they probably have the best prices and sources in the area.

The dealers in my area will not deal w/ MP parts. They say not enough profit. They will not even order the parts. Only one will even get the old book to look up stock parts and try to find them.

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...28&prmenbr=361 very good instructions, very easy install! took less than an hour for me to get it in and the timing set! it comes with the harness and wires, ballast resistor, distributor, and ecu...along with great, easy to follow instructions. i would recommend this, if you haven't already gotten one... |

I use the local dealer, Hershberger Motors in Woodburn OR. They carry MP parts at discount and there isn't any shipping. There isn't any reason for me to deal with a Koller or someone like that when I have a great dealer just down the road. My advice is that everyone should support a local dealer, or find one who will work with them on parts. No freight, you can inspect parts before you buy, and returns are easier.

Like I said, most local dealers will not give a discount off of list price. Most locations also have sales tax, as well. That's why I go with places other than local. Over 90% of the time, I can get a part from Koller and after shipping, it is still less than the price my local dealership will charge me (before tax).
As an example, when I upgraded to the MOPAR electronic igintion (last year), I paid Koller $170 (after shipping). My local dealership wanted $210 before tax. |

I buy through a buddy.
I paid $170 for an aluminum B/RB waterpump housing. I paid $135 for the manual fast ratio steering box kit. I paid $180 for SB motorhome headers All prices in CANADIAN dollars. |

playing the feild
I to look around before I buy and it has been my experiance that the dealers are the most expensive places to by.
At least in my neighbor hood. For instance at one time I was in the market or a 590 purple shaft. the dealer wanted $258 for the cam and lifters. Two weeks later I picked one up at a mopar swop meet still packaged and never used lifters and all $150 |

When we say dealers we are including the Jeep and Mercedes dealers who can also order Mopar performance parts. Monicalli, Mancini and mazzolini are just three of the sources that offer 30% off on all performance parts and 10% on all other Mopar parts, Koller Dodge advertises 25% off. Check the Mopar Mags for a source near you. The car clubs in The Seattle area get Performance parts at dealers cost. Our car club get parts at cost +10% because sometimes the 30% off is below dealers cost on about 10% of the performance parts. Shop around the prices are available.

MANCINI RACING will meet or beat others prices but their BIG draw is SERVICE.
They sent me the wrong oil pump once and when I called them they said to set the pump they sent on my porch and they would arrange pick-up. the correct pump was emediately sent to me, needless to say, No shipping or return charges of any kind. I am not used to being treated as a valued customer (like most people claim) and was VERY IMPRESSED. |

So far I have only ordered parts twice. Both time from Mancini on the internet, and service has been superb to say the least. Got confirmation and shipping info by e-mail next morning. Very happy with their service so far. I especially like the fast shipping .
