A hose dress up kit??? Please tell us your not serious.... Save all that for all the brand X's and import crowd. Put the money towards something that will actually increase performance, but if your not looking for performance the the dress up kits for the imports will work great.

They will also increase performance if you leave them in the box and put the boxes in your trunk - more traction.

As you can tell I am a Jr. Member, and fresh off the Harley band wagon. If it looks good it must make you go faster, Right???

Just 1 more vote to avoid the steel braided hose look. Cleanliness goes a loong way, I would (and have) spend more time on that idea.

Idea

Are we all purest. I think if you like the way it looks and it does not hurt your performance, go for it. We all customize our rides in one way or another, thats what makes them ours. If we all left them the same how boring would that be. I am into performance and looking good doing it. Just my opinion

Hey, diego-ted;

Look in a Summit or Jegs racing catolog for dress up kits. For the record, I think they look good. Just the way I see it. Bottom line, do it your way.

1972roadrunner;

I see the dif. When did you install the unit and how does it work for the brakes? I have low vaccum as well. My brakes are marginal.

you want boring? just go to any car show and see all the engines that have braided lines? thats boring!! good looking paint jobs and minamal crome with an accent of color offsets you from the rest of the boys. i can never understand why some guy will spend hundreds to make it look nice under the hood, then you look at the battery and it's either looks old, with some aftermarket positive cable clamp on it, or a delco battery in a mopar or ford, ect ect. that kills the whole picture. in my opnion, the engine compartment has got to look as good OR better than the rest of the car.but hey! im a pureist.

Thats great. Be a purist. We need you. Guy's like me wreck everything into a HI-PO scream machine. But, like you, it's just me.
To me, that is what makes this hobby/addiction great. I can cruise the car lines and see what it used to look like down to the out right "What the hell is this guy thinking" while his car is bouncing up and down on Hyd. jumping jack shocks.
Well, that's not for me, but, you get the idea. It's his ride and he'll do with it what ever his heart desires. Even though mine might be crumbling over it.
Purists have a good spot in my eyes and home.

i got that about 4 days after i put my new cam in (298/.508 with 1.6 rockers)....we had to take the power brake vacuum line off the booster cause there wasn't enuff vacuum to seal it, so we had a major vacuum leak... we got that through summit. they have chrome and some other kinds, this one was the cheapest...we're happy with it. it was in the neighborhood of $30 i think...

get it, i'm sure you'll love it if your brakes don't wanna work from low vacuum...

good luck!

Diego...If you really want to do it then do it with the good stuff not that Made In China stuff.

Goodridge USA makes some very High Quality SS sleeve material and very sharp looking hose finishers, it's not $29.95 I guarrantee you but when you done it looks almost like the real thing.

When my Fish was a quasi (Sp) show/street car I swapped everything over to AN fittings and SS lines but they were all real...welded spuds to the radiator, heater core etc., probably had over $1000.00 in hoses and fittings, it looked dam fine(and they sponsored all the parts).

If you looking for a Goodridge dealer...he's talking to you, I also carry Oliver Rods, BG Fuel Systems, Deist Saftey Equipment, REV Valves & engine components, Demon Carbs, Stock Car Products and SW Speed chassis parts.

Wanna look good or go fast I can probably help you out.
