I'm Back

Well,
After more than a year I'm finally back. It feels good to be home. A lot has happened to me in the last year.
I moved to South Dakota. I bought a 51 1/2 ton Ram, I bought an 85 Grand Wagoneer, A 2002 Jeep Liberty, I traded the Liberty on a 98 Durango, and then I bought a 74 1/2 ton as a donor for the 51.
The local Dodge Dealership has screwed me twice. They ruined the paint on my truck and now they don't want to fix it. They are the biggest bunch of inbred morons I've ever met.
That's DODGE TOWN RAPID CITY Incase anyone is in the area.

Anyways, I can't wait to get back into the forum and talk to some nonmorons

Welcome back, wondered where you were. Some things have changed since you were gone, but thats only natural. You might not recognize me, I used to be WingedWarrior43.

Hey Guam - Welcome Back. At least you didn't end up at Minot. So is the wife still in Guam or did the two of you manage a joint assignment?

My wife is a sillyvilian. She's here with me. We are going to buy a house and move off base pretty soon. It'll be nice to have a garage finally.

OK. For some reason I thought that she was military as well.

A house with a garge is definately a good thing. Altough with you still being in, I'm sure that you'll be doing most of your work at the auto hobby shop. That is the one thing that I miss about when I was in the Air Force. Alot of my first term was spent in the Auto Hobby shop at Mather AFB.

The hobby shop on base wants $60 a month to keep a car there. They said they'd charge me $30 since I seemed nice and had a cool project. Since my 51 isn't even close to running, I won't be taking it up there for a while. I am keeping it off base for $10 a month right now. The house we are buying has a huge yard and lots of room to park in the driveway. I have my 74 Ram at a friends house off base right now too. I can't wait to get all my trucks in one location.

Yeah, the auto hobby shops do bend you over, when it comes to storage. If you're taking it into the shop a couple of days each week, to work on it, then it's worth it. If it's just storage, off site is usually cheaper. At Mather, we would keep our cars in the parking lot, right outside the gate to the auto hobby shop. It was a huge parking lot that the auto hobby shop used for a used car parking lot. The LEs never bothered us and the guys at the auto hobby shop would help us get the cars in and out with a fork lift (tow chain from the fork lift to the car).
