Distributor cap question

I have a brand new distributor cap for a stock single point distributor. Will this work on an electronic distributor (#3690431)

I think they're the same, Put it on and find out if it clips or not

Probably not, if i recall correctly the slot is in the wrong place and it indexs different...hope i'm wrong
