spare tire
This is not a performance problem but sombody out there might have a answer. Right now I have a full size spare in my '70 Cuda. I can't even put a cooler in the trunk. I don't want to use an original space saver spare but can I use one off a late model car. Maybe a Camaro or a Firebird. I have one laying around. I know the bolt pattern is not the same but can I take the tire off and mount on a Mopar steel rim? I'm not talking about a doughnut spare but the one you blow up with a canister. Anybody do something similar?

I think you might want to talk to a tire store, they should be able to let you know if that would be ok, or they might suggest something else.... seems like it would be ok,, but i am not a tire / rim expert,, a tire store, they deal with tires and rim issues everyday.(of coarse that still dont mean they will know what they are talking about ,but they may have some useful information. hope this helps.. can you please post your out come , cause i would like to know for my own information... sounds like something i may do myself ,, if you find something that works.. thanks!!!!!
