Help Need some Cam recomendations.

Ok, guys, I have a stock 69 383 HP, Edlbrock 600 cfm carb on cast iron intake and exhaust manifolds. MP elec ign w/Orange box. This is in a '70 RoadRunner w/ 4-speed and 323 open rear.
My lifters are getting noisy, and unless I can find a way to quiet them down, they will need to be replaced. If I have to replace lifters, might just as well upgrade the cam. The car will not see any strip action, (no track near here). I really like the feel of a good low end w/ a strong power band. I intend to upgrade the carb and intake in the future, so..............what cam would be a good choice for my needs?
Thanks

I like the Xtreme energy Comps Cams! 224/230 Dur@ .050 and 477/480 lift! This cam will idle alot like your stock magnum cam and maybe a 25-30 Hp gain!

Default cam#`s

For applications such as yours I have been well satisfied
with the mopar performance purple shaft with 485 lift and 285 duration.
I couldn`t give you any hp numbers but with the 727 and 355`s
It had good bottom end and mid range pulling power.
The idle is mild.
It is just enough cam to tell you have one at idle.
The first time I tried this grind I was quit impressed and
surprised with the results from such a small cam.
