I thought I bookmarked it, but I can't seem to find it. A friend sent me a link to a discussion about how Chargers aren't fast. I feel mine is pretty quick, but if I could post a link to this guys site...

Thanks!

Chargers aren't fast? That's funny. I was reading an article just yesterday writen by a fird-lover about the new Bullit Mustang. Even he said that in the movie they had to hop up the Stang because there was no way it could keep up with the Charger. Just where was this "discussion" going on, anyway? DelusionsRus.com?

I've got BULLITT on DVD and yeah, they did have to hop up the Ford turd. 1st they had to put more ponies under the hood as well as reinforce the front end. Seems all that jumping and bouncing took a toll on the weak-ass suspension. As for the Charger, well they did'nt do jack to the 440 or the suspension. I believe R/T's came with the heavy duty front end as well. They used 3 Mustangs because ole' Steve crashed 1 of em. The Charger lost 7 hubcaps and was destroyed in the end, those bastards!!
By the way, anyone know where to get the new version of Vanishing Point that FOX put out a while back? Thanks, and have a good one.

If you watch the chase scene close enough, you will also notice that many of the Rustang scenes were filmed in fast motion (the scene is shot with the film moving slower than normal and is played back at normal speed, to make things appear to be faster than they are). All of the Charger scenes were filmed at normal speed.

I thought that they used a couple of chargers during the filming. I read that one of the cars still exhists!! '68 R/T and I think it was a 440???
