Crossville, TN
Daayco, or Dayyco, or Daycco, somthing like that. they make stock replacement T.C.'s but they also have a performance line as well. If you want cheap (price wise) I would say they are it. I do not own a daayycco T.C. but I did drive all the way to Crossville, TN where they make them, to have them weld a counterwieght on my 360 T.C.
Any trans shop in the southeast can get you one guess. Hope I helped ya 5th |

Thanks for your generous offer! The kid needs to sell it off to finance his new car or at least make back what he's spent on the darn thing. I will use the heads, intake and carb if he parts it out.He was lookin for around a grand complete, or signifigantly less if I pick over it first. No rust, few small dings, and all is there.

From a previous post..
Almost any convertor will drive the car in a forward motion....the test that I rely on give me the efficiency of the convertor is how nuch it slips at the top end. This calculated by doing the math and figuring out by your trap speed in relationship to your engine RPM what speed you were actually going and what the true speed based on RPM should have been. It's not uncommon for a convertor that feels good to be slipping up to 15% or more at the top end. Go to http://www.prestage.com/carmath/calc_gears.asp Click the MPH box and fill in the blanks Then divide your time slip MPH by the calculated MPH and you'll get a number like .948 which would be about 5.2% slippage. Here's the calc's on my Dynamic: 109.5 actual/115.46 calculated=.9483 so I'm showing about a 5.2% slippage in the convertor which is excellent. If you giving up more than 6% you could go faster with more consistancy with a Dynamic. Do the math and call Dynamic.... |

Crossville?
When did they open a factory in Crossville. The factory has been in Cookeville on Hwy 111 for about 30 years. I must have missed something. I belive the guy that started it was Jim Hall. I was working construction in 71 and helped build the origional building.
Did they move? |

I stand corrected, Tarrbabe you rright, its Cookeville, I am forever getting those two towns mixed up. I very rarely go that way so I tend to get the two confused.
