Your a sick sick man! Glad to be in your company.
How about a 420 stroker?
A change of heads?
Or is a RB in the gray matter?

I would like to know your current setup now! The engine componets and drive train in great detail. To help give me some ideas for my Duster!

Thanks Bob

Exclamation 9 sec 340

Not knowin' what you have done to get you into the mid 10's it's hard to suggest what to do next! But, if the chebby's are doing it, you can be sure they are using a stroker crank. If you want to beat them, you will need to go with the stroker crank or join us in the RB world. That's just my $0.02 worth, but I think a stroker is the way to go!

Quick Claims Adjuster!!!

Question 9 sec 340

I'm also one interested in your setup. I have a stroker 340 and it's in the low tens on the motor. Takes a heck of a 340 to run low tens and too many rpms for me to deal with. There're no secrets on this board, I thought! I'm a fellow small block lover, man!! OK, my email address is owilliam@bellsouth.net. Let me hear from you!! I'm going to shoot a 200 hp NOS kit on mine on tomorrow. I'll let you know how things go with it. It should go some 9's. We only run 1/8 mi around here. Waitin' to hear from you. Wedgehead

no secrets, just some guys around here(not mopar boys) check this site out.
but what the hell, i'm changing now anyway!
my 340 was done over 12 years ago by SPARK BROTHERS(no longer around) its started out with a callies crank, oliver rods,je pistons,640 solid roller custom comp cam, its 14-1 and 379ci.
now the heads...old style oval W2's with over $3000 in work alone!!! jessel rockers,M1 intake, and a B.G 1040 carb.
2" headmen headers(picked up 3 tenths over 1"7/8) flowmasters 3"
3100lb dart with a basic 727, JW 5000,narrowed dana488,hoosier Q.T 325-50s
and im sure i forgot some stuff but you get the idea.
best time so far is 10.51 (crappy 1.75 60 ') in the 1/4.just like i drive everyday, street tires mufflers and absoulutly no traction!!!!
.
i know better 60' time will lower 1/4 time...but still not in the 9s
.
big block might be going in!!!!!!!!!
.
rumblefish, thanks for keeping quite, but the season is over on the street now anyway,so its bracket time at E- TOWN!!
