I hate to tell ya
Sorry Bud, Silicone is pretty impervious to just about anything. There are a select few chemicals that will swell it up and slightly break its bond but, it would destroy your vinyl top
Being an aircraft mech, I have seen alot of "mis-used" silicone. I know that jet fuel will swell it up after a few days of constant exposure, I dont know how well the vinyl top would react to it. You'll have to do what they did a hundred years ago to get rid of silicone, scrape, scrape, scrape. Once you get the big chuncks out, try useing a stiff bristled brush to get the little pcs off. 5th |

Vinyl cleaner might, goo gone.. there are some things that should help it come off. Just make sure you clean the roof and paint in that area well after so it doesn't cause any blemishing down the road later.

What about freezing it off? I dont know how the vinyl will hold up, but if you use a product they sell at a janitorial supply house that freezes gum out of carpet. Like a freon spray, but safer, itll make gum turn to a brittle mass that will break off, maybe the silicone will do the same?

i know i will get some feedback on this but i'v used brakekleen from the parts store. it works good for removing stubborn grease. and it dissapates really fast.the freezing thing sounds good. or the scraping.

Ever heard of WD-40?....
... It's sillicone's worst enemy. It will break it down to a liquidy form, the only drawback is that it makes a mess.
