Default later model /6 engines

i am pondering the universe and it came to mind that i need to know what year /6 motors will bolt up to my 64 auto trans. in case i find a good motor on the side of the road somewhere. 64 is running fine but the 74 duster /6 i drug home the other day has issues.

LOL

All Slants will bolt up to your case, but the '68 and up motors will need a spacer for the pilot on the converter. Pre-'68 converters had a smaller pilot on them than the later ones.

There is a place in Oregon called Wildcat that sells them. If you go on www.slantsix.com and post looking for them, you will get the address and phone number. There are a lot of Slant guys up that way.
